Welcome!

Updated: Oct 8, 2022

If you are a teacher, youth leader, or advocate for engaging education experiences in Milwaukee, this page is for you.

STEAM Milwaukee started as a frustration: after writing grants and purchasing a few supplies at a time, it became clear that there had to be a better way to access the materials essential for giving students the learning experiences they deserve in the classroom.

The Lend a Lab program allows educators to build strategies for implementing the materials in borrowed kits before checking them out for use in classrooms or outside of school programs.

Kits of materials are being piloted for use with classrooms right now. More materials will be available for check-out in the coming months. Send a message to info@steammilwaukee.com if you are interested in learning more about the kits, would like to explore options to check one out, or have questions.

Finally, mark your calendars for two upcoming events to see what STEAM Milwaukee is all about! First, stop by the South Shore Farmer's Market on Saturday, October 30th from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. to see and use some of the available materials. Then, sign up to join the first educator training on Thursday, November 11th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the WE Energies MSOE STEM Center in downtown Milwaukee.
